Apple iPhone 14 Launch Today: Apple is said to lunch the new iPhone 14 series on September 7, and its current flagship, the iPhone 14 series, is available with a big discount on Flipkart and Amazon. The iPhone is also available with an off on Amazon, Flipkart is offering better deal, at least at this point.
Apple iPhone Price in India
Just a week ahead of the launch, one of the latest leaks coming from TrendForce suggested the pricing of the iPhone 14 series. Unlike all the past reports, the new leak suggests that the iPhone 14 will be slightly cheaper than the iPhone 13 at launch. Now, that’s clearly not what Apple enthusiasts were hoping for. Several past reports suggested that the iPhone 14 will be priced higher than the iPhone 13, which launched at $799 in the US. In India, the iPhone 13 model starts at a price of Rs 79,990 for 128GB of storage.
As per the new report, the iPhone 14 will be priced starting at $749, which is around $50 cheaper than the launch price of the iPhone 13. While the price of the upcoming iPhone model in the US is said to be cheaper, that may really not be the case in India.
This has always been the case for Apple iPhones in India. The price of iPhones in India has always been higher than the US price due to factors like — high import duty, 18 per cent GST, other fees, and of course, Apple’s own profit margin. These are some of the factors responsible for the large margin when it comes to iPhone prices in the United States and India.
For instance, last year, iPhone 13 was launched at $799 (which roughly translates to Rs 64,000) in the US. In India, the same model was launched at a price of Rs 79,990, which is almost Rs 16,000 higher than the US pricing.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro series: Bigger camera
Apple has stuck with the 12MP wide-angle main camera for a while now, but it looks like the iPhone 14 Pro series will mark a change. The iPhone 14 Pro will get a 48MP main wide-angle camera, reports Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter, adding that Apple will also improve the telephoto and wide-angle camera. This 48MP camera has been reported in the past as well, including by noted Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo.
However, Apple is not expected to bring the 48MP camera to the regular iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus variants, which will continue with a 12MP main camera as before. But Apple will announce improvements to the iPhone 14 cameras as well.
iPhone 14 Release Date
We expect the iPhone 14 Pro Max and its siblings to be announced at the Apple event on 7th September 2022, which will be broadcast live from Apple Park and available to watch on the Apple Website, Apple TV and YouTube. Shipping is likely to begin the following week.
With pandemic lockdowns continuing in China, where the bulk of the iPhone manufacturing is done, there have been concerns that the iPhone 14 launch date could get pushed back – but now it would seem that everything is still on schedule for September. However it’s possible that stocks of some models and/or colours may be limited at first, something we’ve seen with previous iPhone launches.
